Oscar is a shareholder at Rincon Law Group. Oscar has dedicated most of his legal career working in employment law matters including discrimination and retaliation; Workers’ Compensation claims and Texas nonsubscriber negligence; claims under the False Claims Act; claims under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA); employee related defamation and slander; claims under the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA); and claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Oscar also consults national and regional employers with various human resource issues prior to the initiation of litigation
Oscar also represents many national and regional employers from a wide cross section of industry, in a docket that includes contractual, employment grievances, personal injury, and wrongful death. Oscar also handles appeals and oversees corporate investigations on human resource issues.
In 2006, Oscar graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In 2009, Oscar graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as Articles Editor for the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review and as Treasurer for the Latino Law Students Association. In 2010, Oscar received his Masters in Information Science from the University of Michigan.
